Oral cancer can cause lumps on the neck and inside the mouth, so Dr. Anna Spencer will look for any visible signs of lumps, and gently feel for any bumps or abnormalities. He will also look for any red or white patches or sores that may be present in the mouth, as this is one of the most common signs of oral cancer. If you have been experiencing any mouth pain or unexplained throat soreness, you will want to let him know so he can keep that in mind as he is assessing your teeth, gums, and mouth and checking for other signs of oral cancer.
